Despite decades of research in the Western world, the exact causes of autism are still unknown. Experts believe that both genetic and environmental factors play a role.

Alarming Statistics

According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 6 children in the U.S. has some form of developmental delay. Autism affects 1 in every 38 children and is 4 to 5 times more common in boys than in girls.
As of now, no specific medical test exists for diagnosing autism, making parental awareness and timely observation critical.

The First 1000 Days – A Life-Changing Window

The first 1,000 days after birth are crucial for a child’s mental, emotional, and physical development.
If early signs of autism are recognized during this period and therapy, training, and support are provided, the child’s quality of life can improve significantly.

But if this golden window is lost due to ignorance, denial, or societal pressure, the child’s development can slow down or even stagnate for life.

Unfortunately, many parents in our communities are unaware of autism.
